Are you expecting a baby and living far from home?
This prenatal course is designed especially for international families preparing to welcome their child in Germany.
Over the weekend, we will cover all the essential topics in a relaxed, supportive and inclusive environment:
Understanding birth
Learn about the birth process, signs of labor, when to go to the hospital, and what to expect in a German delivery room.
Breathing & movement techniques
Practice simple breathing and relaxation exercises that support labor and help you stay connected to your body and your baby.
Postpartum recovery
Learn about physical and emotional recovery for the birthing parent after birth, and how partners can offer support.
Newborn care basics
Learn the essentials to feel confident in taking care of your baby in the first days and weeks.
Introduction to breastfeeding
Understand how breastfeeding works, how to get started, and how your partner can support you.
Meet other parents!
Connect with other international couples expecting babies in Ulm and area – many participants stay in touch long after the course ends.

Course arrangements:
The course must be booked in its entirety. To register, sign up here online and transfer the relevant fee to the course instructor, stating your name and the course name in the 'Reason for payment' field. This will reserve your place on the course.
If the course is full, you will be informed immediately, and we will endeavour to offer you an alternative date when possible.
Your health insurance company will pay for the antenatal and postnatal classes you attend. The course instructor is responsible for billing the statutory health insurance companies. Privately insured persons will receive a private invoice.
The following will be invoiced privately:
Any absences (€15/h).
Services not covered by health insurance, e.g. the partner fee (€200). At the end of the course you will receive a confirmation of your partner's participation and an invoice which you can send to your insurance company or your partner's insurance company for partial reimbursement in most cases. .
You can cancel your place on the course free of charge in writing up to six weeks before the start of the course.
If you cancel later, a refund will only be given if your place on the course can be offered to someone else.
